The Town of Putnam Collection is primarily newspaper clippings about town history, events, landmarks, schools, and people. Included in the collection are diaries recording weather and farm and town life in 1866. Sources in the collection about local history include essays on historical topics including church history and Civil War Recruiting Committee Records of 1864.
